So all in all, my wife is starting vocal coaching / stage performance with this lady in a few weeks time. My wife isn't positive that anything big will come of it (although I think it would be possibly and I'm telling her that), but it's something that she never thought would happen to her..
Tell your wifte "congratulations and good luck" from me. :)

Hey Daniel. That all sounds wonderful. Looks like you gonna hafta start writing some jazz tunes ;) :D.

Good luck to you and your wife!!!

BUMP!

How are well all? What's everyone doing?

Personally I haven't done any recording the last few months (ok, last year), but I'm going to be getting back into it VERY shortly.

Wife is still doing vocal coaching and is getting up in front of her 'teachers' band next weekend.. she's looking forward to that.

I'm planning on hitting (but not hurting) the Open Mic scene here in Sydney and see how my songs stack up.

Other than that, work hasn't been to bad. Health is OK.. what more do you want ;-)

good to hear things are going well for you porter. Myself, i just got reason so i have been hard at work, learnign how to use. Although i am a die-hard sonar fan, I ddn't like the cut of Project 5's jiff. I had recoreded this song a long time a go but i couldn't finish it cause i didnt' know how to add drums or bass via synths. I just spend the weekend trying it out and this is what i cam up with, any criticism is welcome, i also posted int he mp3 forum.

Hi guys...

I was sent to the disaster locations for a month. North Sumatera & South Aceh, where tsunami & earthquake hit last few months. I ain't got no phone line, no cell signal, no internet connection, almost no communication. Glad to be back home again...

Hey, now I play country music live on national TV twice a month...

How bussy I am... :(

;)

minofifa,

I'll try and check the out tonight from home..

It doesn't matter what you use to get the music out there.. just make it!

Daniel

Tonight? Let me know if you need any moral support -- I can cheer REALLY loudly...

WTF?

More details please?

Daniel

:D

Yes, I'm scheduled to play live twice a month in TVRI (our national TV) with my band. The band named FOLKS, and I'm the lead singer while playing acoustic guitar. The show named "Country Road", live one hour on the air every Thursday 8 PM. It's a good step toward my musical life. Kinda like spreading my wings (even though I never had a plan to be Country idol :D )

I think we need to forget Sonar and home studio, and get some "real life" outthere sometime :D

Here's some pic, I'm in the middle playing acoustic wearing a hat.

(Sorry for poor quality, I need to resize the pic due to file size limit).

Looking good!

Country Idol hehe!

Any chance of pointing me in the direction of a sound sample?

How's the song list looking?

If you can't upload it anywhere, let me know and I'll give you my e-mail address.

Daniel

Yo Porter, James, Q and Minofifa - where y'all been?

James, that's a poor impression of Kenny Chesney. :D Are you from southern Indonesia?

i have pretty much the exact same strat as the guy in your band, except mine's the nicer cherry burst haha :D

Started a new job last November... things keep getting more and more hectic so I don't have as much posting time as previously.

I am still floating around in the ether most days ;)

Have Fun!

:D Q.

stay away from ether, that shit'll kill ya. iknow i sniffed way too much of it and chloroform in the chem labs this year...

Our chemistry teacher used to have a joke where he would have someone take a sniff of formaldehyde and then tell them they had preserved their nostrils for all time... Something about when the skull rots, you'd still be left with intact nasal linings.

Wouldn't get away with that anymore...

Actualy, we mix our songs & covers. Sometime we have interactive session with audience by phone, and we play a couple of their request. You know, everytime I sing Country song, I remember Jagular and his lovely voices... :)

BTW, now I know how does it feel, when you walk around the street, and someone you don't know calls "Hey, I saw you last night on TV... you look great!" And he starts to mimic my stage act... Hehe... Country, Pop, Rock, whatever... it's fun...

Next schedule is June 30. 8 PM Southern time... :D

Get off, kids... change tha' channel... who needs football... we need Country Idol...!!! :D  :D  :D

So you're still hearing voices, James. :D :D

BTW, this reminds me that we all did pretty nice work on Biggest Part of Me. :)

Hey James. Congrats!! That sounds really cool!!! Maybe when I'm in the neighborhood sometime you can have me on as a special guest vocalist!! ;) :D

Hi everyone else. Life sucks. Been too busy. Not writing enough. Hoping things will turn around in a month or so.

Hope everyone else is doing fine!!
