You still running around here bro?

Just wondering if you were using any ribbons these days, what your thoughts are on them, and if you have gotten your hands on any cheap crop of ribbons coming out. I have a Shinybox on the way and a Cinemag transformer for it, that I'm very anxious to check out. I'm just dying to find the right mic for dirty guitars without blowing $1200 on a Royer. I will if the Shinybox doesnt move me, but I'm so sick of spending all my money on this stuff.

Also, you up to anything around the 10th of OCtober? If not, I may have something you'll find interest in.

Cool I just read it. Might be a cool mic. The trannies leave me some options which I like.

I haven't heard any of the new Chinese ribbons yet. I do have a fair sized collection of ribbon mics, including: 2 AEA R84'2, an RCA 44BX, an RCA 77DX, a Colses 4038, and a Stephen Sank modified Beyer 260 (w/DX ribbon mod).
 
with all those classics, you might have to pay him to waste his time with a nady rsm-1 ;) :D :)

Not true, I love all kinds of mics, some cheap, some expensive. I can't afford to go to AES this year, but my son Alex will be there, so he might get some new toys to try.

The RSM-2 with a Lundahl mod is pretty sweet, IMHO. :D
 
Got any samples? Where did you get the Lundahl, which part number, how much, and how how hard is it to change it out?

Harvey, did you get my PM I sent about the few days following the 10th?
