I thought this was easier than continuing on the other thread.

The new Guitar Center is scheduled to open tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 26 at 7pm, I believe. There is a big grand opening thing with giveaways, cheap prices, etc. It is located in the same shopping center as Mars Music was although it's not in the same space. If you're not familiar, it's SpringMeadows Shopping Center at I-23 and Airport highway. BTW, the first 1000 through the door get a free t-shirt if you're into that sort of thing.

I don't normally do this sort of thing (I'm 49) but I'll be in the line with the throng. I like the Guitar Center near Detroit, it's where I bought my first multitrack recorder.

I'm looking to see if they will carry the Presonus TubePre and if so, what price. I want to replace my Art tube pre-amps. I want something with a meter. If you know anyone who would like 2 of the Art's, let me know. I'll let them go for a song (Sorry for the pun! :D ).

i just heard the ad this morning on the radio, i cant believe there wasnt an all out media blits, yea i was there for the mars opening but i have band practice tonight so i cant go. im no kid either 41 hahahhh but i love free t shirts, great for bar gigs....
 
Hey Dave,

Get over there if you can. They have extra T-shirts. I stood in line last night, in the cold, with about 1500 others and got one. I went back today to actually buy something and lo and behold, they still had T-shirts. I got a second one as I wasn't wearing the first.

I also picked up a new mic. I'm going to try it out tomorrow. If it's worth a damn, I'll buy a second.
