this has the potential for a really gorgeous song...
my suggestions:
the acoustic gtrs...as nice as they are, are too loud. They need to come down....or bring everything else up to them. You only hear the snare in the drums, so address that too. The bass gtr, is waaaaay down there, so maybe a little bit more to it, besides such a low EQ'd sound to it. Roll of a little low end, so it can come up in volume too, sucessfully.
Back to the drums, maybe just consider ditching the snare all together, and possibly just replace the drums with percussion, or try something lighter, like a brush set... The snare becomes a "metronome/click track" which is too robotic for this tune.
On the vocals...I agree with an earlier comment....SING OUT boy!! You'll appreciate the improvement in the "feel" you'll give the song, and if it sucks...hey, you have the luxery to redo it again at your FREE home studio...eh?
On your solo acoustic, the low-ish volume while you are singing, is OK, but remember to bring it up to match a lead vocal level, when it is doing a solo, sans vocal.(like around the 5:00 min mark)
And.....watch that sloppy ending!!
killer job for a first 8 track attempt (unless you were an engineer at Abbey Rd Studios and used the 4 tracks on "the lads')
