Here's A Little Snow Induced Music Clip......

........whose focus was going direct into the board using my Ampeg B3R and and OLP MM3 5string bass. (There's a lot of other stuff mixed in there too) :)

We've been snowed in for a few days so in an attempt to stay away from the wife, the creative juices began to flow and this tune came about. It's called "Playing Wit Myself (In The Snow)" That title does sound a little risque. lol I'm using my Tascam 424 and a few other effects for this mix. It's got a really infectious groove (to me anyway) I'd like your impressions and any comments you all can offer to help improve the sound if necessary. Here's the link. Let me know what you think. This is my first recording of the new year so be gentle. :)

This is really cool but to me the drum samples are more of a rock and roll style set than a jazz. I think this use not such a punchy kick drum. The kick seems to be taking allot of sonic space. I can't hear the cool bass lines.

Guitar sounds nice as does the rest of the instruments.

Neat stuff.

Nice job.
 
Thanks Axeman. I was really concerned about the bass guitar being a little heavy but as I listen myself, maybe it *is* the kick drum that is clouding the bottom just a bit.............:)

Seriously... cool groove... I dig the bass tone and the bass playing. Some sweet lines.

I looked, I listened. I can't say anything without sounding like a parrot, so I guess all I am doing is padding my thread count. But I liked it.... :o

Nice groove. I'm a bass player so I was feeling ya. :D This might sound like a dumb question but did you play everything yourself?
It's funny but I just finished up a song Saturday when it snowed. My gig got canceled so I just stayed in the studio all day.

Yea, I played on all the tracks, even the drum track. They tell me that I must be Prince's twin brother. :) (He got the good looks in that deal. :) ) Thanks for the listen.

Hey Gang

I've been approached this outfit called "High Tech Entertainment.tk", An internet radio station that by my best assumption is out of Philidelphia. I took a listen and the programming is really good and I like the music selection/playlist. They want to put some of my stuff in rotation. :) Has anyone heard of this I-Station and is it worth investigating further?
 
I've never heard of em', but what do ya got to lose? as long as they don't need your SSN to sign up you should be cool!:D
 
No way the bass is awsome so it should be lound its sounds really.. some songs sound really good when the bass is really loud and this is one of them! Keep it up! :D
 
There is a sorta hiss thing that gets quiet at :14.

Great guitar sound, the piano is silly sounding but we work with what we have. Nice layering going on. There is some finger sound on the bass that is kind of distracting.

Fun tune though, very elevatorish....trapped hehe.

The drums need some finesse to fit the tune but good jam.
