Eh, its different. I felt it should have been uptempo, the drums playing twice as fast. Felt like it dragged.

agreed with the drums... not sure I'm into that half time feel. Maybe have the hats going 16th notes to bring it up a bit? Other than that it was fun!

Not really familiar with the orig, so can't compare. The vocals might have a bit much bass and could use some bite maybe around 1.5K. The mix as a whole works for me. What are you using for percussion?

I wouldn't change the drum tempo.
There is a very strong Harry Nilsson element in the melody of this track - I know they MASSIVELY influenced him but I think, on this one, he returned the flavour.
Nice job on a mccartney aside - I'm sure it was just spadework to secure his elevation to the peerage (funny his peer was long dead by the time it was secured).

My ears pricked when I saw "beatles". So I listened. You have a big fat full sound there. No, I wouldn't change anything. I agree with the Harry Nilson comment, and add also that there's a goodly dash of ELO in the backing as well!
