Need some advice. I was moved from a warehouse position to up front audio sales at my job. I don't know where to start. I know nothing, nada, zip about pro audio gear. I've been studying online manuals and videos like crazy. I have an interest in pro audio sound but is there anything else you guys recommend that I can do to further my knowledge? Thanks.

Forget manuals at this stage, read lots of audio magazines, i.e Sound on Sound, Mix, EQ, etc etc.

Read this book:

While it's geared toward home recorders, it covers the prinicples behind the design of alot of pro gear. It will also enrich your lexicon and help you understand questions you will be asked. It's an easy read and very well written. It's a great start and lays a nice techincal and theory foundation.
