Still learning
Hey gang,
I have been home recording for over a year now, and I am experiencing a first. When I play back an acoustic guitar track, I am hear "phantom tones", or tones that don't appear anywhere on the WAV image. I seem to remember that this is a fairly common phenomenon, and that there is a name for this. Can anyone help me here?
For reference, the signal chain for the track was classical guitar - Rode NT1-a mic - Focusrite pre-amp - MOTU 828 MKII interface - Cubase SE - iMac.
Also, is there any way to make this go away, or do I need to retrack? I really like the tracking I have done, except for these mysterious sounds.
Thanks,
Chris
