i don't have a midi device
i compose with the windows midi but it's sound really like a mobile ringtone

so did eny1 have a solution to get the sounds real as possible

for example piano don't sound like a piano bass drums snars....etc

sorry for my english i know is'nt very very well but hope u tryin' to understand

vst synths and samplers. to get an authentic drum sound, id personally recommend native instruments battery 2, but there are cheaper ones out there (even free samplers that work really well like LinPlug RM V) check out that kvraudio website. thats where i learned a lot about various vst's and so forth. but yeah, samples samples samples and some synths -_-.

In addition to the great ideas above (I loves me some VST instruments), consider getting a midi enabled keyboard to use as an input device (and an USB midi port). Playing stuff live just tends to have a better feel to it than programming, especially from a velocity standpoint.
