On my zoom HD 16 I have a problem with 2 tracks. I used to be able to record different tracks on track 5 and track 6 and when I turned the level up on track 5 it just played what I recorded on track 5 and when I turned the level up on track 6 it would play what I recorded on track 6
Now when I record something different on each track, if I turn the level up on track 6 I hear no sound but when I turn the level up on track 5 I get both tracks I recorded from track 5 and 6
I can not figure out what I did that made these 2 tracks together like that and can't figure out how to get them back the way they were before.
Has anyone else had this problem or knows how to fix it?

I'm not familiar with that machine - but it sounds like an internal routing issue.

You may want to recheck your input and track routing settings. Or - (seems a bit extreme in that it's probably something simple) - but you can back up your performance data and try a factory reset. I found this:

https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/perform-hard-reset-zoom-hd16cd-recorder/

First, Power down and make sure all lights turn off. Next,
press and hold the Clear key while powering back up. This will reset it back to it’s factory default settings.

Or see page 173 of the owner's manual
