Help with this mix! I only have headphones!

Vocals aren't bad at all....I'd say, take one of the tracks, compress it pretty heavily, and mix it in real low...let it merely fill in the bottom of the main vocal. That should help it sound more like one FAT vocal. I think you need to make it barely discernable, so it's just complimentary to the main vocal.
 
You are sooooo right.... I haven't tracked anything in so long I forgot to do that...

Yeah, I can easily do some fills. I wasn't sure how flashy you wanted. If teh basic is cool, Then I will work on putting some fills as teh rhythm changes. Should be able to do that tonight. Take the drum only, and see how it meshes with your tracks. I had to fudge it some, as our timing systems seem to have a slight difference by the end of the track.

One thing I noticed: you need to play out past 3:40 in the song for it to fade out with the rest of the song...


:o I forgot to give you a mix without the fade out...
 
I posted Dogman's EZdrums on my track. These are only scratch tracks, but they add a lot to the song...

A little more guitar and bass. The acoustic guitar was nice, too.


The whole mix seems to lack a little weight, although the EZ drums sound pretty good.

Good melody and I agree with the TP reference. Nice work.

Thanks for the listen. The Tom Petty reference honors me. I don't think I am up to his calibre.

I think it was better with the straight rhythm. This track is too busy.

I don't want you to spend all your time doing this for me. It's too much. I can wait until Dave has some free time.

No problem man...I thnk real drums would be much better anyways. Him being a drummer, he can probably come up with something that really fits the tune. :D
 
I've updated the mix.

Thanks to Anfontan for the cool solo and the 12 string accompaniment.

I am still looking for some decent drums if anyone wants to add to this.

One more thing:

I added a wah effect to the solo. Let me know if it works, or if I should just take it off.
