i just got the fm7 virtual synthesizer, and when installing it, it asked for the vst directory, and it couldnt find one for reason.

sooo, where would that be? i looked in the reason folder and couldnt find anything.

well, what programs do? i know logic does because the guy that recommended the fm7 has logic, but i can't afford that and i have a PC anyway.

cubase, sonar, tracktion, pretty much everything except reason

Try Reaper.

It's free now because it's still in beta testing. The current versions have been getting more and more stable and it does a good job running VSTfx and VSTi's like FM7.

The only problem with that is Reaper does'nt have rewire support yet. If he wants to use Reason and Reaper together, It won't work.

He didn't ask about using Reason and Reaper together.

He just asked for programs that run VSTfx and VSTi's and Reaper, IMHO, does that quite well.

Have you been keeping up with the latest versions?
