I'd like to power electret microphone (ECM-10 SW)
and connecting with mic pre amp (M040)
before it goes to speaker circuit
i attached also the circuit
because the microphone actually has XLR connector, so i connect pin 1 and 3 together to the ground in the schematic.
when I tried o replace the mic with function generator, it worked, i mean I can hear the sound of 1 Khz i applied.
but when I used the microphone , i couldn't hear anything..
please help me. i dont know is it because the connection? or do i have to apply 12 V to pin 3 also?
can somebody give suggestion to my circuit?
thanks..

Although some mics will work with power only on one pin or the other, normally, phantom power should be applied to both signal pins.
