Ok so I'm working on trying to plan out my new setup. Below is a diagram of what I have already worked out thus far...lol not much:
This is so far a scenario that I worked out:
Basically what I'm trying to do is bypass the RME Pre, Have the great river's output to be patched where ever, and have the mic feed into it. I get the feeling that I'm missing another piece of equipment. I dont want to have to everytime I want to use the Great River have go behind the unit and plug it in
. Also, how would I be able to switch the mic source from something in one room, to something in another room but on the same port? Like say if I have a guitar in one room, and a singer in another. How could I do this so after I record the singer in one room, I can patch out and record the guitarist in another room using the same preamp?
