Hello... Im not english, however, I rap in my language. I got lyrics, some beats and stuff like that... however, i just started trying to record some days ago, using cool edit with a comp mic(still dont wanna spend money in a real one). The problem is... my voice just sounds really wack =| what should i do? thz in advance

wack? I dont understand what you mean by that.. Do you mean weak? To be honest with you, your not going to get decent results using the comp mic because...well, its not made for musicians. You could try adding some EQ to your vocals to get it a bit warmer...Maybe normalize the vocals too if its low in level. These are things you can do to try and get it a bit higher, but like i said, your never going to be able to get a quality recording unless you invest in a microphone.

Good luck!

No, it's a slang term for "fucked up"....

Tif is right. You need a decent mic and a pre amp if you want to get decent vocals. The pc mic is good for chatting, but it's not good to sing into, or rap into for that matter.

^^like they if your serious about music, that would be great investment.

yeah.....a computer mic will only frustrate you. Even a $30 kareoke mic would be better. Not that I'm suggesting this, just for reference.

WEll Then i got a question and if it doesnt get answered lol im going to repost it as a topic ;)

lol when i record people like my voice... but i dont? is that normal do any of you hate your voice but other people love it?

^Yes that is common, you just arent used of hearing your own voice played back to you..

Is that why when i spit somethin to any beat it sounds sick as fuck but then sonuds weird when it comes out... lol weird this happen to anyone else
