just thought, if theres something u didn't like about it, we'd need to know!
the only 2 channel usb interface i've experience with is an mbox 2,,but i WOULD NOT recommend that unless you want/need pro tools.

The EMU 0404 is actually not a bad card for the price. Certainly a LOT better than your typical gaming sound card.
But I'd probably recommend finding a used Tascam 122L , which you should be able to find for about the same price range as a new 0404.

I use the Presonus Audiobox when I go mobile and it's a great two channel interface!

Hmmm...does the Tascam work with windows 7? EMU has the same problem too...

I don't know the answer to that, but I'm sure Tascam support on their website can tell you. It should just be a matter of having a proper USB driver, if they have one for Win7, that'll be the place to find it.
