hello all im new to midi programming and am having a problem...im able to use my keyboard as a midi controller so I know I have all the necessary cables hooked up correctly...im running a Mark of the Unicorn midi interface with a roland juno-106 ... now heres my question... I can record one midi sequence on one channel lets say midi 1 patch 11 and can playback and it works great ... but when I record a sequence in midi 2 and change the patch number... i try to playback both parts and all I hear is the last changed patch number sound for both midi channels ... midi 1 and midi 2's sequences are played together but its all the same patch sound...I need to know how to have midi 1 play patch-(11) and midi 2 play patch-(16)...?? Is this possible ??? anyhow any insight or reply is greatly appreciated and I hope my question is not to confusing...thnx and i hope to hear from you...

It's certainly possible, in fact MIDI would be almost uselsee if it weren't.

Are you sure your MIDI channels are different -- not just that they are on different tracks in the sequencer?

You also have to make sure the Juno is set to POLY in the global midi settings. Otherwise it will merge all the channels at the input. You are going to be limited by the Mulititimbral capability of the Juno. In the specs it will say 2 or 8 (or more) part multitimbral. That is how many different patches you can play at once.
