help with mono recording and also channel delaying on a mixer

I am recording my acoustic guitar with only one mic and i must say no matter how much i EQ, move the mic, it sounds so dead. Is there any way i can get a mono souce from the one mic into a stereo source?? i dont have enough money for another microphone but is there any cable i could get to do this?

I was also wondering if its possible to add a track delay on a mixer before sending the signal to a recorder. I have a nanoverb and a studio 32 but im not sure how to do a channel delay to simulate stereo.

A. You can't afford a mic. Well, musicians friend has Nady Dynamics for $20. Let's say you only have 20 cents. Okay, do you have some old headphones?

You can plug headphones into a channel and use them as a mic.

My old band recorded a live stereo demo using telephone mics. Round pieces of rubber, one goes on the earpiece and one onto the speaking part. It sounded really really good for cheap-ass radio shack phone mics.

Since you have a Nanoverb, have you tried recording in mono, but then adding some stereo reverb? That should liven it up a bit.
