Help: What do I need Simple Question

Hey all sup? This is my first post here so please be nice to me HEHE.

Well I have 2 cd mixers ok which I am using to record my mixes to the computer the sound is ok I suppose it is Nforce2 build in sound card, and I use Cool Edit Pro2 do u guys think if I buy for example Audigy2 sound card will the Quality be much better ?
And what software should I be using? Thanks for the advice I am new to all of this stuff thanks.

I would consider a card with digital inputs for transfers. Perhaps the audiophile 2496. It will perform better than the SB cards. The SB as mentioned time and time again here are more less high performance gaming cards.
Cool Edit should be fine for what your attemping to do and descent for multitracking as well. But now if you intend to multitrack, I would step up a notch to a program that offers real time effects and more options.
 
I think that the Sound Blaster card would be a "step up" from the on-board soundcard that you currently possess. Plus, the SB will give you the opyion of using soundfont .

But.......... as, Stealthtech has already suggested, you should consider purchasing the M-Audio 'Audiophile 2496'.
 
Well I guess thats the one for me thtas in Us money right I dont know if we here in Aus have it have to check whit the shops bs i do have left and right coax in but for now i use headphones out to line in
