True - just listened to the tune on your link and have to say your vocals are FA-BU-LOUS! Heart and soul country with a blues flavour....excellent job!

Dogman, Gorty, Mshilarious, Cincy-kid, Anfontan - I'm diggin' all the playing you guys have been doing on this.

DavidK - been following this thread and the mix just keeps getting better and better. I think your horn playing friend will be more than pleased with the results.....

OK, Trues version is up. I did a quick automation so the words could be heard, added some compression and verb and panned it more center. Sonds pretty damn good True, I left the backing stuff for ya.

The guitar is a Tele kit guitar I built in the last few months, I drilled out & installed ferrules for a string thru body. Bridge pickup is a Dimarzio Chopper T in humbucking mode. It is running through a Johnson J-station on a Hot Rod amp simulation. The tele is in the picture-the program shrank it in a weird way though-its on my next posted clip, a friend enhanced it in Photoshop and Paintshop to give the shot an aura around it.
I just played along with David K's rythmn track and played the rythmn parts and the lead so it gets a little choppy sounding, but its what I sounded like.

You have got the guitar sounding sweet, I have a few Dimarzio's myself, I have the Tone Zone Dimarzio's. I have just realised the picture you are on about!....That resizing is a bitch. Maybe you can post the pic up here to show!

Like I said it has been enhanced to look pretty trippy.

Its got a push/pull tone pot thats really sweet, single coil tone is nice and twangy and barks in humbucker mode. On the sound clip the guitar is too loud in the mix, but I suppose thats how guitar players always mix themselves. Its on the single coil mode till the actual lead solo and I popped it into humbucker for the lead, thats why its a bit of a delay starting the solo.

I added the original Tele picture I took in my yard and the Gibson I refinished when I built the kit.
