Thanks Ed

I am just finishing up my own too. I will post em later and see if they work. We called always to a combo of sorts, we did with everything else! :D I found a country rock song and have been editing midi for the last half hour, Its working OK.

OK Kids,

this thing is startin to sound like MUSIC. Click my sig for the new version with drums. All thats left:

Vox
A few keys to fill in holes
Err, ahh, umm, gasp....fiddle. :o

The fiddle stuff goes with the banjo and scattered here and there.

Vocalists??? Your up. :D

Damn, that last version I sound so much better than I actually did it's embarassing :o You are the edit king!

When you have final drums, lemme know, I will post a few places where my bass needs to be nudged to lock with the kick. Right now, with the drums, both places I played a G chord don't fit and should be replaced with something punchier.

I am pretty sure I know where you mean. these drums are final music-wise, I will do some recording stuff but the notes stay. I will go through with just drums and bass and get it super tight.

SONAR is a killa program for editing once you know it really well. After 6 years with it, I can pretty much do a lot of groovy tricks.

ug, just got done cuttint he grass and showering....I love chores :D

I STILL am going to attempt to lay something down on this before I crash...

Question: Last night I grabbed an older version and started laying down the first verse, etc.. If I grab this new one, is all the timing the same and it should fit right in? (mr edit king?)

Its all the same.  :)

Taking shape nicely, David. It should sound real fun when done.... :D

The guitar stuff I had done, rather started, is only a joke now. :) I thought it would be fun. Tried rhythm. Tried slide guitar. Nothing impressive. Now we pretty good stuff, and my guitar (30 second) recording sounds like a joke.

Point of the rant: This track is shaping up pretty cool. Nice licks Gorty man. Dogman, the git is very you and fits the vision you set with your version of the vox. :) Cool.

Hey, thanks man....post your stuff. Let David edit it in. It might fill some gaps, and sound real nice. Remeber, it can't hurt..... :)

Well, it sounded too childish so I abandoned the project. :) Even though, I had already tabbed it and figured out most of the chords and so on.

Anyhoo, I pretty much gave up on the project 'coz I couldn't make it sound cool enough.

Oh and the slide guitar was just too much. :) Very noisy. :)

BFD....it's all for fun man. If it sucks, maybe it will motivate someone else. No one would do vox, till I did, then they all felt sorry for David, and got to steppin..... :D

And Cincy, you just saved the world. :D

Geesh, where do I start.

I hate posting a bunch of excuses right before I give the link, but I feel I need to

This is not my style of music and the song was a bit higher range than I am used to but I gave it a couple of takes and this is what I came up with. Not sure if I like some of the harmonies I added, so any suggestions are welcome on the arrangement or melody...(or anything for that matter)

The beginning few seconds are blank space because when I grabbed the new version it was a bit different starting place. Also the vocals are dry except for the smallest bit of reverb on the lead vocal (almost unnoticeable).

Also sounds to me like another famous song (wont say it yet so that I dont influence listeners hehe).

Anywas, here is my first take:

Vocals take 1

PS - I am emailing you the dry vocals and harmonies now edit King ;)

Cool man!!!!!

Honest to God, this is the most fun I have had in 6 months. I kid you not.

I am trying to email you these dry voclas however I am looking for a program that will allow me to convert from wav to mp3 at a higher bit rate like 192 or 256 without purchasing it ;)

I used one Gort recommeneded but the trial period is over hehe.

Anyone know of any or do I just need to buy one?

Thanks ~
