Help tuning my 4 string bass to CGCF tuning?

Okay, I have a Dean Edge 1 bass with a 34" scale. I usually have it on standard tuning, but when I do drop C (CGCF) my E string (which is then tuned down to a C) makes a terrible buzzing sound, and the string is very loose. I was wondering if there is a type of strings that I can get that will help make it less buzzy? I'm a beginner, so I'm unsure of what to do. Would HS ML3045 Coated Boomers Medium Light Bass Strings or D'Addario EXL220 XL Nickel Round Wound Super Light Bright Electric Bass Strings help?

And please don't be a smart ass about anything, because I just got my bass 2 months ago. So I'm not really a bass expert or anything... It's all really new to me.
 
The string is buzzing because it's too loose. The solution is to use a heavier gauge of bottom string so that you have to increase the tension in order to get the same note. You've dropped the normal note by four semitones so it wouldn't be too much to use something two gauges heavier than normal, in my opinion. Just buy a single string out of a heavier gauge set, if you don't want to make the rest of the bass harder to play.
 
You haven't told us what strings you are using, but like Bubba said, go to a heavier string set, or least a heavier E string.

I'm confused. some people are telling me to go heavier, and other people are telling me to go lighter?

Heavier. As it allows lower pitch at a higher tension.
You may also need a set up. It could be that your neck is bent too far back when tension is looser. I have my basses set up in a way that allows for dropping pitch, whilst still having the neck in the right place to stop buzzing.

If you do go thicker, only move by .005 each time. So if your E is .100, move to a .105
 
Snag a set of 110-55 for that tuning.

And for fuck sake don't go lighter. If you having the strings clack to much then either use a pick (and ease up on it) or raise the action.

Also: I'm assuming your doing heavier music at that tuneing. Try a pack of D'Addario pro steels, much brighter and more suitable for the modern metal sound.
