You might be able to find one or two threads about mics for vocals. If you search really long and hard, that is.

They just don't sound the same as real mic'ing. You need to capture the sound of pushing air. That's where the power comes from.

i second this. the sm7 would be my first up...the re20 second...but both versatile enough to handle either/or singer.

get a pl20 for 150 or so used...same mic as the re20…half the carbs.
