A aggresive energetic male singer(kind of like rap, or metallica) with a deep voice, and also a smooth soft male singer. I have been working with artists for quite some time now, but recently I was thinking about getting a bit more serious with my equipment and I wanted to know the opinion of the experienced. Right now I have protools digidesign 002 rack, and I was wondering what kind of equipment(pre-amps, compressors) to get to complete the full package as far as recording demo-quality recordings. All advice is greatly appreciated,
Robert

Well ...

I think you should get that one mic for the aggressive singer.

And definitely that other mic for the mellower crooner.

Should make for a killer combo.

Neither that other mic or that mic will work, you need this mic and this other mic.

Could I buy that mic for a fraction of the price if I find one that looks similar?

Incidentally, I read now that Behringer are doing those monitors at a price that you could definitely afford, and it'll help you understand the difference between this mic and that mic anyway.

where do I buy this mic?
thanks ;)
At that store over there would be a start,or this store here would be nice also baaaaaaby..........

www.bpmmusic.com has some of those mics but not the other ones. But the good news is those guys sell them mics cheaper than that other place.

Spammer! Come on, own up, you make this mic or that mic, don't you? Or you work for those guys or that other place?

i'll put in my 2 cents cause , well, i don't have a reputation to worry about.

for the more aggressive vox you may wnat to try eithor an ev re-20, or a sure sm-7, both used a lot for rap, aggressive vox.

the singer is harder to make such a broad guess at.....
without getting price crazy i'd say maby a sure ksm-32 (fairly transparent, because i've never heard this person) or maby the ksm-27
i'm a big fan of the at-4040 for cheep.

just things to look at, good luck.

So which is this mic and which is that? Do you work for Shure, or EV?

Another spammer! :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Take him out and shoot him! Oh wait ... you actually do that kinda thing in America.

seriously, i hope this recent BS dosen't result in the complete and utter emasculation of the entire mic forum. :(

If you're from the deep south then this here or that there mic would work better.

congrats......

you've made the bbs completely and utterly useless.

This BBS has been completely and utterly useless on and off for its entire life. It happens whenever people try to have a laugh instead of answering the same old questions.

Oh, by the way - go to the Mic Faq - www.hr-faq.org.
