Hey, I was wondering what kind of program can get me some sound effects that I need for a song my band recorded. We're looking for like a big crowd talking like, in a subway station or something. I mean, it doesn't need to be that specific you know? but just something that sounds like it might be there. and at the end of the recording a subway would come up or something along those lines...
any ideas?

thanks,
-william.

thank you SO much.
honestly.
that site is like, perfect.

ok, i hate doing this. a lot. because i know it's probably annoying.. but i suppose that's what this forum is for..

but anyways.. now i got the sounds i want. what program would be best to 'layer'(?) in the sounds with the song i have recorded? i just want something easy that i can easily place the sounds and change them around. i tried something like.. wavepad that my friend told me about. but it just wasn't..'convient' at all. i had to save pretty much everytime i made a change so that i could hear how everything was placed and stuff..
so anything easier would be LOTS of help...

Do you have any multitrack editing software such as Sonar or traction? If so or anything like that, you can just make two different tracks. One with the song on it the other with the effect on it, then just move them around as you want

no, i don't have anything. that's what i'm asking for.
i'll check out those programs though.
thanks:)

Try Reaper or Audacity. They're free and pretty good from what I hear.
