My live setup is a rack setup:
Power conditioner
Tuner
Pod Pro
Marshall 8008 solid state power amp
and a 1960 a marshall cab.
the cab can run in stereo and so can the pod and power amp so thats how i run it. With the switch in the back to stereo (8 ohms per channel) which matches up with my power amp.
I let a friend borrow my cab, and told him to switch it and use the 4 ohm input. When I got it back I plugged in my stuff and forgot to switch it back. OOOPs
after a 1/2 hour or so it just cut out. power amp won't turn on. did i blow a fuse or blow the whole thing? is this a marshall only repair or can some random electronics shop fix it. I have a show on friday. any estimates (i understand it might be TOTALLY ballpark) on how much? i can get another power amp for $150.
please help anyone.
