Hello Everyone! I joined this forum a long time ago, and have ghosted until now... Well, here we go:

I do quite a bit of traveling on the weekends and would like an interface to go with me. I am a PC user (Cubase mainly) and primarily record all of my guitar tracks DI'd, then reamp at convenient times (I live in an apartment and can't crank amps at night, and likewise don't like taking giant amps on the road with me). I not only reamp at home, but frequently email the DI tracks to other people to use in their songs, as well as take my DI'd tracks to larger studios to reamp in their rooms. My home setup is a guitar DI'd into a Focusrite ISA One, which is connected to a MOTU hybrid interface. I would like something of comparable (or better) sound quality. Here's what I was thinking:

A Radial J-48 DI into...

1. Focusrite Forte

OR

2. Roland Quad-Capture

Am I missing any that you would suggest?

As I understand it, both record at up to 24bit/192kHz. Does anyone think the quality between the Forte and the Quad-Capture would be noticeable? To put it another way, is the price difference worth it?

Also, is the Radial DI necessary in this equation at all?

Thank you all in advance.
