I have upgraded to Windows 7 64bit. I am still using Sonar 8.5 and I have all of the relevant drivers for the sound card Sound Blaster Elite X-FI Pro, even the console update and updated drivers. And for the life of me I can't work out how to control it as you can see by the attached screen capture it's telling me there's an error. I've tried every way I can think to rectify it and have had no luck. Can anyone help.

what is the audio set to in sonar (24bit/16bit 44khz/48khz?) Soundblaster cards are not designed for recording, they have a fixed sample rate and bitdepth and they resample the audio on the fly for all other rates. What happens when you choose "use anyway"?

Dump the Sound Blaster ....................... I know that's not what you want to hear, but it will prove to be just what you need.

I have always loved Sound Blaster (Audigy) cards for their special sound gimicks. They make great cards in gaming systems, but don't work well in audio recording environments.
