HELP! My recorded audio (garageband x scarlett 2ix) is not in stereo???

hi all im using a rode mic with a 2i2 interface plugged into my macbook

i am trying to record my first vocal but when i play it back there is only sound coming from my left speaker.

i tried to record audio using the built in microphone on my macbook and it plays back in stereo (both speakers) so i know my speakers are working fine...

any help pls?

You're trying to record a mono source to a stereo track.

No, that's mono. Stereo isn't "two speakers" -- Stereo is the difference between left and right. Your signal on one side thing you've got going on is the perfect example.
