I recently added a PCI video card to my Asus board. I already have an AGP card. However when I try to turn the computer (PC) on, nothing happens to the screen. At the moment, I only have one monitor hooked on to the AGP card. The PCI video card is not attached to any monitor at the moment.
Does anyone know hot to make the possibility of two monitors work together?
Thanks,
Nagaba

First of all, the video card on the PCI bus will take precedence at bootup. Attach your monitor to it to troubleshoot any sort of conflicts.

Second you must be running Windows 98 or Windows 2000 for dual monitors to work.

I just added a second video card and monitor to my system this evening and it works like a charm. I was thinking the same as you the first time I powered up though...waiting for the screen to click on... stick the monitor on the PCI card.

I've bought a PCI video card as well - (did you all read that EM article?) Slack - -Does doing so take up much resores and do you use it with Vegas or Cakewalk ?

If you get a basic non-3D card then it probably won't even require an IRQ which is good when you're nearing your limit (like I am).

As far as performance goes, I'm not noticing any substantial difference running n-Track and the POD sounddiver software...one app per screen. However if I fiddle with the sounddiver software while playing a bunch of tracks in n-Track things start to skip. No biggy though.
