I have Tascam 1641.
and I am using Sonar 7
Windows Vista 64

Once Tascam is plugged into my usb, my internet explorer closes, and I think tascam prevents internet explorer to play any videos or sounds.

Also, I tried to record it on sonar 7 and it instantly stops and say dropout.

so I was playing around with latency and other audio options and now !!!
i hear clicks and pops when I play any mp3 songs.

What should I do? Is this a common experience for all usb audio interfase?
or is it just tascam?

This is a common problem with Tascam's 64bit drivers. They just don't play nice in Vista. Make sure you check the DPC latency.

I'm assuming you have nothing running in the background....USB wireless mouses can raise all kinds of hell. Kill the anti-virus, kill the wireless network adapter.

A possible solution is to use ASIO 4 all drivers.

hey are you saying that if I use windows XP it will work fully functional and smoothly?

been awhile since i've seen this as an issue around here but... what's that tab you need to check about release driver in the background??? possibility??

I have to turn my Internet off (switch on laptop) whenever I use Sonar. If I don't I get lots of dropouts and other problems.
