Sonar 2.2XL.

I read the help file about how to set up the metronome feature for recording and I'm able to hear the "click" through the PC speaker, but when I'm recording while monitoring through headphones, I can't hear it. Any ideas?

In order to hear metronome in Cakewalk, you must have MIDI device installed... Cakewalk use MIDI as it's metronome.

what if I don't have MIDI device but DXi, Jaymz ?

Then you must sequence a measure of MIDI notes in Piano roll (the MIDI track assigned to DXi audio port) eg. side stick of drums, hihat, etc. then copy-paste the sequenced measure to fit length of the song...

...any hints ?

Hey... I have an Echo Mia audio card... will this process do the same thing for me?

Yes.

As an alternative you can use the GrooveClip I've made and just drag it to the end of the song (if you don't know how Groove Clips work, look in the help file or the manual). You'll find the clip here. :)
