I am making a beat for this dude round my way and he wants me to use the "instrument" that Lil Boosie has in "Swerve" - does any one know where I can get this instrument?

I have been combing through the Triton to see if I even have something close enough tha'll pass - and I have found nothing. Nothing!!!!

I dont know how to "describe" the instrument - it sounds like a "hi-pitch" whistle . . . I know that a lot of down south, midwest, and west coast people use it . . . there was a time I could name a litany of songs, but nowadays I can't!! I wanna say that its the same instrument that Chino XL uses in the song "trouble" he got a video for on BET Uncut . . .

Any help? Greatly appreciated

i really have no clue - it sounds like some type of synth . . . but im still scrollin thru the instrument pages on my trition . . .

not that nice wit the board, homie!!! wouldnt even know where to begin -

U still have your manual? It's kinda confusing but it tells you how to program your own sounds. I'm still a novice at that part. Basically, i'm still a novice at alot of things with that particular board. Before i used the triton, i was used to the standard type of keyboard that you can choose a rhythm and a voice. I love that triton tho!! I had a choice between the triton and the motif. I might get the motif later because it is nice as well.

I can make a soundfont of that sound for you if you like, I have it.

yeah - jugalo - that would be nice!!!! then i gotta figure out how to get it inside my triton - but PLEASE!!! make it do what it do !!

Hey jug, what's a good program to make soundfonts? I'd like to make my own soundfonts. I get tired of lugging that triton home from church all the time. I don't really like being responsible for a $1500 piece of equipment either!

i stil lcant figure out how that same instrument is used by so many people - n its not a "standard" instrument on the board!!

Awave Studio is excellent for soundfont creation. It takes a lot of time to make them. To get everything out of your Triton can take over 100hrs of dedication easily, check your pm.

I can sample each C note for you and you can map it across your keys if that will make it easier for you, That way you'll just be uploading like 8 waves to your Triton that will cover all of the octaves.

ok - now u know what note im talkin bout in the lil boosie song rite? its pretty much carrying the song - wit out it - the track might be plain wack!!!

If you have FL studio then you are set, that's where I got the whistle from.
1. open up Simsynth
2. open the presets
3. scroll to whistle
4. pick C4 which is the octave just below Middle C which is C5. Now you
should be golden.
