i am building a vocal booth n this is wat i got i need no sound to come out of the booth and no sound to go in once i close the door i need to no wat insulation i need to buy n not too expensive please my budget is about 100 dollars for the insulation

the booth has 3 sides of solid compressed wood from home depot they are about 1 inch and 3 quarters thick n it has a ceilin and a floow now the reason why it has three sides is because i havent put any vent or the material to sound proof that i need and also because im making the front side with a door and a windows. i need help can some one help me please

$100 for fully insulating a booth that has already been built without any thought to insulation, including a soundproofed window, door and ventilation!?

Oooookkkk...

I'm really afraid $100 won't get you very far at all, and the isolation really needs to be part of the booth construction. It would've been better to think about it before you started building, so it could be done from scratch and incorporated.

um

i already have the fiber glass windows i just need the iso to wrap all inside i sealed all the wholes with sillicon and etc is just 100 for the insulation not including the acoustic spongy thing or the fan nad i already custom made the door so is just a matter of wrapping inside and maybe outside

Good soundproofing unfortunately doesn't come in a simple wrap or membrane.
It needs to be incorporated as part of the design and construction.

In general you would be looking at a double stud wall filled with dense fiberglass and an air gap between the two layers. You can get away with using standard building materials, its just how you build the wall that matters.

You then also need to think about other ways for sound to get in or out, i.e. vibrations transmitted through the floor joists, etc.
