Ok, here is a remix of a song I posted a while ago and this time, Rami was kind enough to help with REAL DRUMS!!!!!! Many thanks Rami!

Time for a review, now if would all be so kind. There's hardly any compression anywhere on this. And I didn't have to mix the drums because Rami mixed them himself and then sent me the WAV file. So comments on the drums and the mix, please!

Thanks!

This is a cool song, sounds good one the lead guitar in the intor sounded a bit dry and upfront to me, is it a DI`ed Guitar?

very cool vox, and verse.
nice sounding, reminds me a bit of the eagles in the refrain.

cool tune man. :)

Thanks! No DI on the guitars. I've had a hard time with that intro solo because it starts off so high. But it gives me something to work on. Thanks again!

Wow, Jeff, nice sounds.....Drums are tight. Feel really good in this tune. Good song as well. Sounds good on my system. Everything is pretty clean and clear. Good job guys. Nice tune.

Thanks for the kind words. Nice to hear for a change. hahahaha

And Rami did a kick-ass job on the drums, IMO!

Cool song man! Sounds like a feel good track from the 70s/80s.

Thanks! Much appreciated! ummmm.... after 3:17 there's 4 different guitars going. Two arpeggiated type rhythm's and the twin hook guitars. Which is it you like? I love the tone in the twin hook guitars. It blends well.

Ok, Dog... I have two other mixes to compare.

Mix2 is a bit brighter in the guitars and I added some verb to the intro solo and middle solo. I agree with NYMorningstar, the intro solo sounded very dry and when listening to the middle solo I thought maybe it could use some help too so I sent it into the same verb as the intro solo.

Mix3 is the same as Mix1 with only the verb added to the intro solo and middle solo.

Of the three, which is best?

And again, many thanks to Rami for doing such a great job! Need a letter of recommendation dude? ;)

Mix 2....good but bright. Is that the sound you wanted? You might drop all the levels, and then bring in some more bass if you want a fuller sound. I like the vocals, but in this tune, you might be able to get rid of some of the verb, and run them pretty dry. You seem to sing prety well, and the extra verb, or something tends to make the vocals a bit muffled. Bring them out a bit. Rami gets away with his being pretty dry, so maybe try that. If it sucks, you can always put it back in. :D Guitar tone, especially the solo, is good. Really fits this tune. ...Now to mix 3

Mix 3 seems to be the best so far. All the music fits together pretty well. Fix the vocals though!!!! I wouldn't be hard on the vocals, as they smoke anything I coud do, but I think the vocal take is good, just needs a bit of tweaking in the mix. Drier, and maybe try and eq it to sound more natural. Right now, the vocals seem to be a bit muffled, or something. Fix em, and this thing is ready....

I dig just the whole guitar sound you have going there. How all four sound together, very cool stuff.

I listened to your other mixes. Mix #3 sounds just right to me. In mix #2 adding the brightness pulls the intro guitar out of the mix too much, makes it sound thin and too high. It sounds great in mix #3 though... so another vote for mix #3 ;)

Thanks to both of you Dogs! I agree with Mix3 being the best so far. It's basically Mix1 with the verb added to the intro and middle solo guitars. And I'll see what I can do about the vocal. Maybe a happy medium on the FX and a bit of EQ?

Thanks again!

And you should hear what Rami did to the song he just sent me the tracks for... SHEEESHHH that dude can fucking play!
