DAW-sonar 8
MIC preamp: arttube mp project series 48v phantom power
Ok my question is I bought an arttube mp project series mic preamp for a microphone that im going to purchase which is rode nt1-a mic.My question is, what is the best way to connect the mic to the arttube preamp then to my m-audio delta 1010lt without having any hum noise? Cause from my understanding my m-audio delta 1010lt soundcard has built in preamps on the mic in cable and from recent forums I have read that if you run your mic through 2 preamps the hum noise will be louder. So is there a way to avoid having hum noise in my recordings? Will good shielded mic cable work? or is there another way to connect to the delta 1010lt soundcard without going threw the the built in noisey mic preamp on the delta.I just want to have a noise free recording thx.
by the way im just recording vocals at this point.
