Help choosing a TRS cable.

Is there any recommendations out there on TRS cables? I went to my local shop and they had Hosa, Horizon, and some custom-made ones. I went for the Horizon. Does brand-name make a difference in TRS cables? Also, I'm using the TRS cables to run a mic pre into a TRS input on a mixer/recorder (Event Ezbus). What sort of benefits do I get from using a TRS to connect the two rather than regular 1/4" TS guitar cable?

the balanced cable keeps the signal integrity over longer distances. Most TRS cables are the same, the only thing to look out for is cheap connectors and bad solder joints. Some people will tell you that you gotta buy the expensive ones, but you dont really need it.
