Before I start I'm in Australia which is why i have this problem (damn Americans and you're cheaply priced guitars
)
Okay heres my story:
I've been thinking about getting a telecaster at the end of the year and might be able to get my hands on an extra $1000 (good old work cover) some of which i hope to put towards a new guitar. With this extra cash I can now look at getting a 52 reissue (its been my dream tele for a while). I could go ebay but I'm left handed so the chances of finding even one are fairly slim. I emailed my local guitar store who are generaly fairly good and they offered me (at reduced cost) $3500 (about $2675 US) which is just too far out of my budget.
Now i was looking on Musicians friend and they have them for $1260 and postage to Australia via USPS should only be around $190 2-3 days delivery with insurance. But ofcouse Musician's friend dont deliver outside the US, and neither to any of the American guitar shops I can find on the net.
Firstly if anyone knows a US guitar shop that has Left handed 52 reissue telecasters for around that price who deliver internationaly let me know.
If not my other option (which hopefuly someone out there will go for) is to get one of you lovely people to buy one for me. What I'd do is find out exactly how much it would cost, including postage, and send a cheque (or check) to that person, plus $150 for thier troubles and get them to buy it for me and send it over. I know it might be too much responisiblity and too much bother to worry about but I' be extremely greatful if someone could help me out. Im not planning on buying to the end of the year so theres plennty of time. Obviously I'd want someone i can trust so if i can find someone who you guys can reccoment that'd be great. Also id prefer to get a contact from that person saying that they would follow through and not keep the money. If someone does decide to help me they wouldnt have to worry about me holding up my end because they wouldnt have to put in the order until they had received my money. If you need i can give you a reference of someone who's sold me a guitar from the US.
Please let me know if you're interested in helping out a poor Uni students, or if you think the ideas just plain stupid
Cheers
