help bringing Fruity into Acid please

hey i've been making loops in fruity loops and bringing them into Acid to construct songs, but there's almost always timing issues, for example:

create a loop at 120 BPM in Fruity, save as WAV (Acidized)

start new project in Acid, set tempo for 120

open Fruityloop, and the loop is off -- ie, there's a pause at the end of each segment, and the Properties of the loop say that the "original speed" of the loop is something weird like 116.736 BPM or something...

is there any way to retain the properties of the loop as i saved them in Fruity Loops, and have it still work in acid?

if NOT, what's the best way to deal with this in Acid?
right now i just kind of fudge it, but i know there's a better way....

You can edit the wav's acid properties to show 120 bpm, but the real problem is probably just sloppy start/end timing. Slicing a loop to exactly 4 beats, no slop, is a bit tricky.

except with fruity...

there shouldn't be any need for slicing or editing, as you're building the loop in a sequencer (fruity loops) which is defining the beginning and end of the loop precisely...

now if i was trying to get a loop off a record, then my sloppiness would definitely come into play! i have no doubt of that...

So FL produces a loop wav for you all as part of a built-in function? If so, maybe there's a clocking issue. If not, you may have some leading or trailing space. You might wanna look at it in a wav editor.

When I bought old sloppy wavs (beware the UBS library!), where the loops weren't cleanly edited to end on a beat, I had to edit the acid properties of the wav in Sound Forge. SF's lite version (SFXP) will handle this, too.

Sorry - not UBS, It's Soundscan USB. Though maybe they improved their format - disk I bought was on clearance at Banjo Mart, and pretty old.
