So you are using ProTools LE 8 right now? if you want to stil be able to run PT 8 until you get 9 your choices are pretty limited to the larger Digi/AVID interfaces like the 002, 003 (and their rackmount brothers). If this is what you mean then I say buy a used Digi 002 rack and use it until you have the money to get it modded by Black Lion Audio. With their signature mod (which is not cheap by anyone's standards) can make that sad little 002 sound comparable to an HD setup.

I do not have personal experience with the 002, or the mod from BLA, but I do own their MicroClock mk2 which is the same clock that they use in their 002 mods and that alone will improve your overall sound of your tracks/mixes. The full mod makes it comparable to a ProTools HD setup!!

If I had done more research and wasn't such a noob drooling about motorized faders I would have gone with the 002 rack from the beginning instead of the Project Mix I/O, but I'm stuck with it at least until I can pick up PT 9 ;) The control surface is top notch and works like a charm.. it's the interface that was half-assed on this unit :( so that's the best advice I can give!

Thank you for the quick reply...All that info is most welcome...but...i'm still in the fase of planning a new PC...so the real question is which Hardaware components should i get ?

Best regards,

Ok...

I did the DVerb test on my present system an got to open and run without hitting the red zone a total of 47 Dverb's plugs in the 10 mono audio tracks...

Can anyone tell me what conclusion should i take from that result ?
