I was successful in exporting my first song, copying it, and then pasting it into a directory on my Windows 10 machine. However, when I go to do the SAME thing with my second song, it says "Idoling", but the BOSS BR900CD machine is not viewable as a drive on my tower PC !! I know the steps to export a song to the PC using USB. What the HELL do I need to do to get this to work EVERY TIME ??????????????

PLEASE HELP with detailed instructions.

Thanks in advance.

VERY frustrated,

There might be a problem with your drivers. Check to make sure you have the latest.

Rather than re-post, here is the link to the user manual:https://static.roland.com/assets/media/pdf/BR-900CD_OM.pdf

Starting at page 173 begins to instruct how to use the machine with USB.

Also, it mentioned it can only use wave or AIFF, if that format isn't used, then you will not be able to import/export.

Double check the instructions, make sure you have the latest drivers on 10 (if they have Windows 7 drivers, you can use them).

Are you sure you have the Boss set to Export mode? That was required on my BR600.

This is a handy utility for troubleshooting USB connection problems and you may be able to see if it's connected or not. You can also uninstall a device to let the computer re-find it.

Are you using a USB hub for the connection or direct from the computer and is it a USB 2.0 port and not USB3.0 (not sure this may make a difference or not)?

Thank you, this looks very helpful! My only gripe is that they put the actual download links way down near the bottom of the very long page, but at the top of the page is one of those ads with a huge green "Download Now" button that has nothing to do with the USBDeview utility. The button in the ad isn't going to fool me-- especially since it says "(Driver Assist Tool)" on it-- but I hate the practice in general. Oh, well, that's GoogleAdServices for you.

Agree, just because their freeware isn't malware doesn't mean they can trick people trying to download it into downloading malware. They mind as well just hire a prince in Nigeria to help scrub their cash.

I didn't have a green "Download Now" button, but I'm running an adblocker which maybe did what it was supposed to(?)
