In 2002 I bought Cool Edit 1.2. I´ve been using it ever since but the other day I had a computer crash and something very strange happened. Most of the basic functions, like the effects and sound-cleaning stuff just disappeared from the program. My first thought was to reinstall the program and so I did. But now I´m in big trouble. In the opening moments I get as far as a nice “woodland” window and a grey bar performing a configuration an check-up of my system. After that it tells me to reinstall. Obiedently I do so. And what do You know? It does the same thing again, and again, and again…

WHAT IS WRONG???

I called Adobe Call Center since they took over the Cool Edit Software but they can only refer to Syntrillium. And they do not exist. I have a sneaky suspicion my set-up files are shot. What to do?

I need my software to produce radioprograms. Help!

It is quite possible that one or more of your system files became corrupt after the crash. You could reinstall the operating system but that is a royal pain.

Ah, no offense but, it sounds like it is time to move into the 21st century with the rest of us. :D Download the AA 2.0 demo and try it free for 30 days. It's a lot cheaper if you have a previous version.
