I made this with Pc, 350mHz, 256ram. Echo Layla 8 i/o-card. It doesn´t sound pro, but it sounds almost good to me. It´s different, pretty weird mix.
There are a few more songs on that site too, but they´re older ones. Same setup with them, only less mix time used.
I fiddled around many weeks with this one... That´s what it is when you´re not a pro.
I play the guitars, bass and synth. (Listen for the full symphony orchestra in the last chorus. It´s there, believe me.
)
I used Shure b52 for kick drum, sm57 for snare, and some lower series tom mics, they were B.G or something, and B.G 4.1 overheads. Rode NTV for vocals.
I had a lots of adjusting time when I made this. There are few things I´d like to point out... But maybe next time.
Oh, with this song, I really notice the bad effects the mp3-encoding has since I´ve listened this so much in the original shape, multitrack version while mixing. Mp3 makes the annoying watery sound on hi hat, and dulls out the bass and snare drum attack...
Who cares... Next time, I swear I´ll use at least 192kbps coding, no matter if it makes the file a lot bigger.
