What can I say...? Sounds completely professional to my ears and in the context of a video, just right. Do we get to see the video too, later? Good that it's raining, that way you can stay in and make music.....when is the next Whotards release?:D

damn might be longer..gregs banned and im a bit banned for the time being...

man the whotards are looking lean lol

I dont know what to do about the video..Ive just bought everything i need to get started but cant start lol

Now is the time to go shoot b-roll for other forthcoming videos. Get your rain shots done!!!

lol @ drop....totally spot on :D

thanks man

I feel old, i have no idea what you're talking about....

Hey, good job on the tune. Driving beat and simple melody that is memorable. I don't have any suggestions for the mix. I don't quite see this one in a club, so a video it is. Actually, I do see a traffic scene, busy city in the rain. One guy walking through downtown with no umbrella, some kind of unusual prop that stands out like a red shirt....

I remember Heat's video where he took something simple like his kids jumping on a trampoline and made it interesting. Yeah, I gotta get started on another vid soon.... :D

Sounds good to me kc. I didn't quite get it on the first listen, but went in for a second time and really enjoyed it. Agree with greg on the low end needing a wee boost and I'd love to hear that synthy cello line (the one that starts as the beat comes back in about half way through) and the female vocal sample developing into a more prominent position in the mix.

Looking forward to seeing the video. One of my favourite music vids was for a song of a similar genre to yours - Michel Gondy's vid for Star Guitar by the Chemical Bros. Shot out of a train window with a different landmark for every constituent part of the song. Worth looking up on youtube if you've not seen.

Nice work

Nice work

yup thats a classic vid...one of my faves too...the one with Liam Gallagher singing on it is a great video too..cant remember what its called

nice work on the critique Rob

I brought the lower end up in the bass...and the MFs on the kick...its meant to be more kraftwork than club...only thing is now its not translating so well on my PC speakers..just a bit boomy at the moment though the adjustments were small, so I'll prolly carry on tweaking before I put it to film :(

I brought in a reprise from the string pad and brought it up a little...does sound better..and I gave the female part a boost along with the bass/acid type track in the background

its amazing how i cant make 36 tracks sound so sparse...must be a skill Ive got lol

yup...i tried downloading some clips just to get an idea of what id film but it looks like a tourist video for southern california...the song is pedestrian so its the film that will drive it...maybe ill just mime with a synth on the beach lol

heats was simple but effective..I like it, this kinda stuff could have something repetitive too

thanks for listening Chili

Really chill, dude. Love the spatiality of it, too. Could listen to this one in the background for a long time. Good work!

thanks jason...I just finished a few more tweaks and got rid of that boominess

tripod just arrived and the suns out :D

I know the thread's drifted down into the distance, but I'd been meaning to have a listen back for a while to hear any modifications - I take it the original link is the updated one. From what I can remember of the first one, I like the improvements you've made with just small tweaks - the female part gives it a new dimension and the boost makes the mix sound fuller to me. Nice stuff man

If Setting Son's the Chemical Bros tune you're thinking of, it's Noel rather than Liam - I think you've got the wrong Manc nerk. It is a good tune though

I've loved seagulls in music since before the Flock of 'em. In fact Budgie's Never Turn Your Back On A Friend final track Parents which cuts gulls in with a gull's screaming fade out guitar solo - highly recommended listening.
I'm still waiting for the thing to download - rain & slow ISP/lines means about 20mins for the 13 meg. I'll get back to you shortly.
oh, Quadraphenia - I have the vinyl double - it's truly excellent. Not so keen on the soundtrack version though.
This track has a touch of Kraftwerk to my ears something from Autobahn - it's sense of journey & the panning sounds.
The fem vox work particularly well.
Very good piece of music mate - not a trip inside the skull that you're known for but then again neither is the last track (still waiting for he attempt at new vox).
Good finish on this one too.

Thanks Ray...probably the last one I do in this vein as its as far as Im going to get on soundscapes etc..just not talented or interested enough in it...I have a remix of an older track and a new track in here with a different direction and would love to hear what you think

its back to waking up at 6am and switching the DAW again...I love when I get that excited about music :)

Female vocals are great. I actually listened to the whole thing and its over 5 minutes - nice work

lol...the 5 minute barrier :)

Thanks man...its a bit sappy...but hey ho

Hope you get the video up for this one soon. Seems like it will probably add a lot to the song. This Cove place sounds pretty cool. It's always nice to have a place to forget about it all and relax. :)

Have a good one dude.
