Headphopnes

I'm in the middle o a situation.... it involves the AKG K240 and the Behringer HSP 5000 headphones... I cannot try them, 'cause where I live they do not sell them, I'm going blind on this... so I rather ask you guys which of these would be the best deal.

The AKG 240 are a de facto standard -- they are excellent-sounding and reasonably priced.......

Yeah... lately I have understood that the AKG 240 are the standar stuff... but it does not mean that the HSP5000 wouln't do the same job the AKGs do. Whay to spend (for me is in other currency, and about 5 times more than for you guys)... more on the AKGs if the behringer can perform the same way ??... I remind you guys that I dont have the chance to try them out...

I think you'll find out very quickly that Behringer is nowhere near in the same league as most of the other manufacturer's gear they try to reverse-engineer.

Behringer is a knock-off company, pure and simple - for people with modest budgets and expectations, it'll "sort-of" do the job.... but in general terms their look-alikes is inferior to the original gear.....

mmm ok ... I trust you... now I'm spending the big bucks on the 240s... hopefully they'll do fine... well... it is the standar stuff for something...

If the behringer is SUBSTANTIALY cheaper then why not get it and see if YOU like it. If your not terribly thrilled by it I'm sure at least find some use for it, or it could turn out to be just what you were looking for and you will have saved some money for food or clothing or gas or something that you truly NEED.

besides they're only headphones and no critical decisions should be made with them alone anyway.

Yes, that's right... I already payed gas, electricity, garbage stuff, TV... now, the last few bucks left, will be for both of them... 240 and hps5000.... if I dont like either, what the heck... sell it and it is over.!!

So that's it... I may use the akgs and the guy playing drums could use the behringer... or veceversa...
