Well I am just trying to learn as to how can I create a Headphone mix in Reaper.
If anyone can help me out with the technical explanation and some I/O routing concepts as it gets very confusing. Even if for an instance you get the concept you tend to get confuse and forget about the I/O settings.

Also anyone who can explain Pre Fader, Post Fader and Pre FX in Reaper.

A headphone mix is basically the same thing as your main mix - one or more tracks mixed together - but it goes to someone's headphones instead of the main monitors. So, to create a headphone mix in Reaper, click on the I/O button for each channel you want to be included in the headphone mix and send it to whatever output channel the headphones are on.

To understand the difference between pre/post-fader and pre-FX, you have to understand the normal signal flow:

INPUT -(1)-> FX -(2)-> FADER -(3)-> MAIN MIX

Post-fader means that the signal gets sent to your headphones after the track fader (i.e. at #3) - this means that if you change the track fader, you will hear the change in the headphones as well as the main mix.

Pre-fader (post-FX) means that the signal gets sent to your headphones before the fader but after the FX (i.e. at #2) - any changes you make to the track fader will be heard in the main mix but *not* in your headphones (but you *will* hear FX).

Pre-FX means that the signal gets sent to your headphones before the FX (i.e. at #1).

For (1) and (2), changes to track fader won't be heard in the headphone mix but you can control the volume via the slider in the I/O box.
