headphone fail

I want to play my Marshall Micro-Stack laughings with headphones, but it has a 1/4" headphone jack. The only headphones I have are 1/8", so I bought some 1/8">1/4" adapters, and they don't seem to be working, for either set of headphones. Can you think of another solution to this problem?

If the Marshall has a 1/4" hole that says "headphones" by it, that's a stereo jack, and the plug on your headphones is also stereo.

Make sure that the 1/4" to 1/8" adapter is also stereo. If you use a mono one you'll have problems so I'd check to see that it is stereo.
