HEAD>CAB>IMPEDANCE??

Looks like I may have found the right place for my question!

I've just bought a Marshall JCM 2000 dsl50 head and I've plugged it into the mono 8 Ohm jack of my Marshall 1922 cabinet (using the one lead I was supplied with) from one of the parallel jacks (as illustrated in my attachment). Am I doing the right thing?

I searched this forum before posting but the one thing I couldn't find was whether it's OK to use just 'one' output from the parallel pair on the head (??).

I've been playing guitar long enough to know things like this but I really am a dumb-ass when it comes to equipment. Don't wanna mess my lovely new amp up so any help would be greatly appreciated. CHEERS! :)

I'm guessing it's the same for a DSL 2000 100w head as well, thanks Cheetle. I'm an experienced dumb ass when it comes to physics stuff too-I needed to know this.
:)

Yes, it will be the same with all tube amps. You find the impedance of the cabinet, then connect it to the output that is the same impedance.
