I can appreciate what you are trying to accomplish with the bass line. Almost gives it a calypso kind of feel. I think with the vocals it would sound pretty good no matter if you left out the drums or kept them. My preference would be a shaker and maybe some cajon. Just light percussion. Either way, nice job.

I wasn't really trying to accpmplish anything with the bass. It is just one of the only times I have actually played the bass guitar and not a synth, and that is just what came out. Thanks though.

neato. I liked where the bass was in the mix. the drums weren't bad, just a bit busy as previously noted. anyhow... ccr is awesome and this is a great cover. added it to my soundclick.

Sounds good! Vocals are great. Here is what I'D do with the drums. Keep them totally dry in the mix (mono and dead in the middle of the mix) and drop the volume just a tad and you are there Bud! See you at Madison Square Garden!
