Hate the "Greats"

What panel of experts got together and decided what constitutes good music? Is there a scientific basis on what good means? Of course not. In fact, if you take a look at history, there was a period when the use of diminished and augmented chords were considered a breach of "good" music. The result was an era of music were everything just fit so nicely together.. Too nicely. Much of the music of that time lacked depth because dissonance was frowned upon. There IS no universal qualities that makes music good, because it is completely relative to the listener.

Oh and by the way, "writing off" does not technically mean "dismissing without second thought". To the rest of us, writing off is to dismiss something AFTER giving it a chance. Thus, to write off a bad debt is to dismiss it after the assumption of collection has not proven fruitful.

If you want to communicate learn to use the language so that others will understand you, you condescending wanker.
 
I don't really hate certain bands or artists, but here's some of the one's that force me to turn my radio dial to another station:

KISS
Rolling Stones
Judas Priest
Radio Head
Boston
John Cougar Mellonhead
Dave Matthews Band

Also:

Any "Hair Metal" band from the 80's
Any "Techno-Pop" band (...except Devo ;) )
Any "Boy Band"
Any "All-Girl" band
Any "Pop Princesses" (Brittney, Christina, Mariah, etc.)
Any Rap tunes
Any Disco tunes
 
I'm not sure I understand the point of this thread. Since its not debatable, according to you, I guess I'll not add anything to your personal pronouncements about who is great and who sucks. I'm just thankful that I now know know what rock and roll really is and who is carryting the torch. I feel enriched. :D

Yeah, big titties. I mean that in a good way. Sorry, I'm of the opinion that Sabbath does not suck...well, I was never a fan of Ronnie Dio in there. Ian Gillian was a much better replacement for Ozzy.

Slayer does not suck in my humble opinion. Well, honestly I never really got into Tom Araya's vocals, at first I found rather monotone. But Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman are aguably the best metal duo ever, yes better than Hammet/Hetfield, and better than Mustaine/Friedman.

Newer Metalicka sucks in my opinion, as does newer Megadeth which really sucks cause they were my favortie band for a long time.

I never liked Kiss, which is weird cause I like Slipknot.

Ted Nugent...hahahhahahahahahahahahahhaha, I think this is fairly straightforward no?:D

Sucking has never been so painful as this thread.

I could go into different genres, but thats a whole other thing in itself, so I prefer to stick to what I know and listen too.

Oh, the worst album I ever bought was L7-everglade...what a giant POS. ;).
